First Stage calls Madison County home. Providing our youth with a year-round venue in which to explore the total theatre experience is something we take very seriously. We have spent 22 years refining and enhancing our programs to ensure the maximum, positive experience for each child. We believe theatre is a great teacher of life lessons and that confident children become responsible, assured adults.
We are dedicated to nurturing and developing a deeper appreciation of the arts for the youth of Western North Carolina. By allowing students to explore various artistic disciplines through our in-school and summer theatre arts education programs, it is our goal to develop in students’ valuable life skills such as creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and a greater sense of self-esteem.
