Visual Arts

The Madison County Arts Council exhibit spaces have presented both locally and internationally known visual and performance artists from all walks of the art life. From classically trained oil painters to found art objects, the MCAC is Madison County’s ever-changing window on the arts. We strive to promote local artists to residents and visitors, and to bring outside artists into Madison County so that our community has the opportunity to view a wide variety of creative expression. The MCAC has hosted group and solo shows featuring art from Jimmy O’Neal, Tom Turner, Rob Pulleyn, Polly Gott, Joel Morris, Rob Amberg, Handcranked Letterpress, Lois Simbach, Alex Matisse, Katie Graham, Francesco Lombardo, Molly Sawyer, Subject Matter Studios, Tim Barnwell, Luca Dipierro, , and Leslie Hinton. Group show themes have included ‘The Almighy Chicken’, ‘Show Poster Show’, ‘SHE-Made’, ‘Youth Art Month’ and ‘Cigar Boxes to Synthesizers-Musical Instrument Makers of Madison County.’
